Some archives are too fragile to be handled again and again, but too important to remain unseen.
DigitalFusion recently partnered with the Los Angeles County Fire Museum to preserve and digitize a historic collection of early L.A. County Fire Department papers, including documents connected to Fire Warden and Fire Chief Spence Turner.
Our team carefully reviewed the archive, brought the materials in-house, scanned them at high resolution, performed OCR, created searchable PDFs, and delivered everything into the museum’s DF Studio archive account.
Now these records can be searched, shared, printed, studied, and preserved while helping protect the originals.
DigitalFusion is proud to help bring this important piece of Los Angeles history into the digital future.
