Justin Stephens and DigitalFusion Rock the Sundance Film Festival

Photographer Justin Stephens and DigitalFusion arrived in Park City this January to Document the Infamous Film Festival for Entertainment Weekly

Photographer: Justin Stephens
Client: Entertainment Weekly

Justin Stephens is no stranger to the pages of Entertainment Weekly. Over the past few years he has consistently graced the pages of EW, documenting many of the industries most beloved celebrities with his signature style and captivating images. Justin and EW called upon DigitalFusion to aid them in capturing todays hottest stars for their latest magnificent issue.

Justin Stephens took along DigitalFusion's own Justin Coit to assist him in Park City, Utah on the shoot. Coit, a Digital Technician for DF·Pro, went on the trip for a solid week and made sure the files kept flowing through the stressful schedule. "They (the celebrities) are on a pretty tight schedule. We have the sets all up and they basically are in and out, so we don't have too much time with them," points out Justin Stephens.

The Photo Editors on set with Stephens and Coit would be sending JPEGs to the Photo Editors in New York at EW's home base for layout purposes. The Editors would then contact Project Manager Christina Olsen at DigitalFusion headquarters in Los Angeles with their selects.

Once the orders were placed each day, Coit would begin uploading the files via FTP to DigitalFusion that night. In the morning, Stephens' personal DigitalFusion Artist Joe Puleio would begin color correcting, enhancing, and optimizing the images depending on the media they were chosen for — Web or print. By the end of the day Entertainment Weekly would have a brand new batch of quality photos to report about on their Web site, and by week's end, another full issue documenting this year at the Sundance Film Festival.
